Europe in pictures

We recently got back from our tour in Europe supporting We Were Promised Jetpacks. Here's some photos that show, better than words can describe, what a lovely time we had...

We had a lovely TV in the van that had loads of films and TV shows built in on the hard drive as Sean is showing here.

Crowd in Hamburg,

Steel speaks to the first of many drunk old Germans in Hamburg. Peter enjoys this.

Too much football on day off in Hamburg.

Put your diamonds in the sky in Muenster.

Lackie and Steel support each other's bands backstage at the Werkstatt in Cologne.

Crowd in Werkstatt, Cologne. Peace to that guy, peace.

Bannon, Burnie, Adam and Steel enjoy the sun outside Schlacthof in Wiesbaden.

Me and Burnie met this good lad in the crowd in Wiesbaden.

Injuries in Wiesbaden. Get on the stretcher.

Stage in Dresden. Dresden's amazing.

Steel's arse in Bannon's face at the afterparty we almost didn't get in to in Dresden.

Dresden was sunny in the morning and I was tired.

We taped a coupla new tunes.

We spent last Monday to Wednesday recording a couple of new tunes. Andrew Bush did all the recording, mixing, production as we listened in and said what we liked and what we really liked and what we thought was an absolute delight. Steel (the talent scout) likes them.

The tunes we've put to tape are entitled MMIX and The Brown Owl Knows Best. MMIX has been our set opener for a couple of months now, so maybe you've heard it, and Brown Owl is a new yin. The tunes are currently under review and, when they're ready, one or both of them will be up on the myspace streaming. Its gonna be a double A side single that will be available and will be on sale on our European tour with Jetpacks and will be launched at an Edinburgh show when we're back off the tour.

We got back in Edinburgh on Wednesday after recording and went straight on stage at Cab Vol for the ECA fundraiser show with Three Blind Wolves and Frightened Rabbit. If you were there, cheers for clapping and getting our tired bodies through it.
